22nd Pub Talk, Tom Bernhard will return to the Center to showcase
the Tablet PC (TPC) in more detail. Microsoft will launch Windows
XP Tablet PC Edition, a new operating system designed specifically
for pen-based computing in November 2002. At this Tech Demo, Mr.
Bernhard will showcase the TPC's functionality and how it can make
business more efficient with direct examples of its use in various
vertical markets, including the medical, financial service, government,
insurance, and sales force automation markets. Examples of horizontal
markets (MS Office XP, MS Journal, IM) and a brief WLAN peer-to-peer
Instant Messaging will also be discussed.
