At this Pub Talk, come hear
about the exciting new voice applications being developed at SAP.
The Voice Center, established in January 2001, is comprised of industry-leading
technology, application, and business development experts in what
is one of the most visible initiatives at SAP. Mr. Kims discussion
will include how SAP utilizes existing speech recognition technologies
and open standards, such as VoiceXML, to develop a broad range of
voice-enabled SAP solutions that will benefit a variety of industries,
including manufacturing, utilities, and retail. By incorporating
self-service voice solutions into the enterprise, companies will
be able to increase their customer service satisfaction ratings
while reducing costs significantly.
ABOUT RENE RODRIGUEZ
Rene Rodriguez is responsible for business development
and marketing of voice applications at SAP Labs, Inc., the leading
provider of eBusiness solutions. Mr. Rodriguez began his career
at IBM where he was responsible for OEM and business development
activities for IBM's storage software products. He has also led
multi-disciplinary teams at medium and entrepreneurial companies,
most recently at Nuance Communications. Mr. Rodriguez holds an undergraduate
degree from Stanford University.

The mission of the Voice Center is to establish SAP
as the leader in the deployment of voice-enabled access to enterprise
systems. The Voice Center offers SAP product and sales groups the
technology and strategic resources they need to develop solutions
that maximize customer value.
