Globalization is one of the key levers for growing your business. For most companies, Europe is the
first choice in going global, representing the largest market for software and eBusiness outside the
United States. A team from McKinsey & Company and the Dortmund project, dedicated to
supporting international companies in their aspirations to globalize, will give a snapshot to Europe's
software and eCommerce markets as well as highlight the specific qualities of the Dortmund software
cluster in Germany. For going global, **contacts** are key: get your insights on the European
market and get connected to one of the major European software clusters at Thursday's Pub Talk!
ABOUT THE DORTMUND PROJECT
The Dortmund project is a public/private partnership between the City of Dortmund and major
companies in Dortmund supporting the business sectors' software, micro technologies and logistics.
With the assistance of McKinsey & Company, the team's efforts have led to the development of an
extensive network of contacts, enabling companies, scientists, and opinion leaders to share and
exchange knowledge and experience. The objective is to offer young high-tech companies,
especially those in software, IT/ eCommerce, micro technologies and logistics, an excellent corporate
business location.
