ABOUT PROJECT JXTA

Project JXTA (http://www.jxta.org) started as a research project incubated at Sun Microsystems, Inc. (http://www.sun.com) under the guidance of Bill Joy and Mike Clary to explore new styles of distributed computing. Now Project JXTA is an open source effort with a vision to enable developers to create innovative services and applications. Project JXTA addresses the need for an open, generalized protocol that interoperates with any peer on the network including PCs, servers and other connected devices.
