Join us for an evening
with new SAP executive George Paolini and learn how SAP is gearing
up to address the challenges and opportunities of expanding its
ISV and partner ecosystem around SAP NetWeaver and the Enterprise
Services Architecture - an approach to building and deploying IT
resources that is reshaping the enterprise computing landscape.
ABOUT
GEORGE PAOLINI
George Paolini joined
SAP in January. He came from Borland Software Corporation, where
he had been the General Manager for Borland's Developer Tools Business
Unit.
It was before Borland,
however, that George gained a following among the industry cogniscenti.
He was at Sun Microsystems from 1993 to 2001 when, as Director of
Sun's JavaSoft subsidiary, he launched Java technology. Later,
as Sun's Vice President of Software Marketing, he followed up with
Java 2 Enterprise Edition (J2EE), which became the leading technology
for cross-platform business applications.
In his new role as Senior
Vice President for Platform Ecoystem Development, Mr. Paolini will
report directly to executive board member Shai Agassi and be responsible
for expanding the market eco-system of partners and developers who
will add new capabilities to the SAP NetWeaver platform.
"The next wave of computing
will enable companies to quickly adapt their business models and
implement new strategies that take advantage of rapidly changing
business dynamics," says Shai Agassi. "SAP is leading this charge
with SAP NetWeaver, and the scalability, breadth and openness of
our platform represents an enormous business opportunity for ISVs
and other partners. George has the talent and depth of experience
necessary to take our ecosystem-building efforts to the next level-to
create and execute on a business model that will generate significant
revenue opportunities for all of our partners."
