IBM LIFE SCIENCES PUTS DRUG DISCOVERY
ON THE FAST TRACK AT THE
SILICON VALLEY WORLD INTERNET CENTER
PALO ALTO, CA, February 6, 2002 - IBM's Dr.
Prasad Kodali Worldwide Technical Program Manager of Life Sciences
DiscoveryLink Solution (http://www-3.ibm.com/solutions/lifesciences/about.html),
will discuss the challenges facing drug makers and how information
technology can put drug discovery and development on a faster and
more efficient delivery track Thursday, February 7 at a Technology
Demonstration at the Silicon Valley World Internet Center (http://www.worldinternetcenter.com)
in Palo Alto.
"Information technology helps to drive much of life
sciences innovation," said Dr. Prasad. "The huge amounts of data
generated by advancement of technologies create a bottleneck in
the drug discovery process. IBM LS is poised to provide solutions
that enable research scientists to use the data effectively and
efficiently in the areas of High Performance computing, Data Management
and e-clinical."
Dr. Prasad will demonstrate some of those solutions
at the Center at the 4:00 p.m. Technology Demonstration. He will
also be available at the Center's weekly Pub following the Tech
Demo to answer questions and network with attendees.
