Program
Twenty participants will come together for an interactive roundtable
discussion and to exchange knowledge on the important, but often
overlooked, issue of billing and mobile commerce (mCommerce).
Recent discussion usually centers around the "killer
applications" and security issues of mCommerce. What about
issues concerning a complete billing systems solutions for mCommerce?
What are the challenges for next generation service providers,
including mobile and application service providers (ASPs) in this
area? Will there be an integrated, open solutions available
or will solutions be more proprietary? TAP (Transfer Account Procedure)
is the adopted GSM standard for billing records. Will this standard
predominate? What about other standards? Is there a leading billing
provider for mCommerce or are providers still to emerge? Or will
traditional communications billing companies predominate? What are
the business issues providers need to consider in this area and
what challenges and obstacles will they face? mCommerce) is expected
to take off within the next years in the United States which lags
behind the European and Asian markets. What issue differences exist
for the America versus the European and Asian markets?
