Dr. Susan J.
Duggan, Chief Executive Officer
In 1996, Dr. Duggan co-founded the Silicon Valley
World Internet Center in Palo Alto, California. The Center
is an internationally recognized dynamic think tank and showcase
for the advancement of Internet-related technologies, services,
and markets. Dr. Duggan oversees the collaborative knowledge
exchange, marketing venues, and strategic alliance support
provided to the Center's clients, which include IBM, SAP,
Fujitsu, Deutsche Telekom, Cable & Wireless, Sun Microsystems
and Amdocs. The Center's focuses primarily on eBusiness, eServices
and wireless communications arenas.
With twenty years in policy and program design in international
education, she continues to innovate, internationally, in
knowledge exchange at the key decision-maker level. Dr. Duggan
served for several years as the Senior Policy Consultant to
the U.S. Department of Defense's National Security Education
Program revising multi-million dollar grant programs affecting
paradigmatic shifts in international education within U.S.
higher education. In 1992, she co-founded and managed an international
education agency with program development throughout Eastern
Europe and Latin America. She has worked, conducted extended
research projects, and lived extensively overseas during the
past two decades.
A Fulbright Scholar to Germany and Fellow of the Alexander-von-Humboldt
Foundation, she holds a Ph.D. and Masters in Education/Political
Science, and a B.A. in Anthropology from Stanford University.
She also holds a Masters in Political Science/International
Relations from Université Laval. She serves on several advisory
boards of Silicon Valley start up companies. Dr. Duggan is
conversant in five languages; fluent in German and French.
A native to California, she is an avid horsewoman, jazz singer
and amateur musician.

Ms. Claire
Kahrobaie, Manager, Client Services
Claire Kahrobaie is Manager of Client Services
at the Center. Mrs. Kahrobaie comes to the Center with a background
in event planning and program coordination. Her experience
began with the San Francisco Fairmont Hotel, assisting with
annual special events and holiday programs. She most recently
comes from Concept Offices as their Marketing & Event Coordinator,
where she organized weekly client presentations and quarterly
marketing events. In addition, Mrs. Kahrobaie is a Board Member
and Programs Chairperson for the San Francisco Chapter of
IFMA [International Facilities Management Association]. She
has directed various educational programs and networking sessions,
serving the professional needs of facilities managers in the
Bay Area.

Dr. Rohit Gupta,
Research Associate
Rohit Gupta is a Group Leader at NPTest, Inc. (http://www.nptest.com/),
which traces its rich history back to 1965 when Fairchild
Semiconductor established an automated test equipment (ATE)
division. In 1979, Schlumberger acquired Fairchild Semiconductor;
and in 2003, NPTest became a private company. Dr. Gupta has
worked with clients such as Intel, AMD, and Sun Microsystems
and is responsible for systems engineering. He also serves
as a Research Associate at the Silicon Valley World Internet
Center. His current research topics are RFID and the Next
Generation Internet. Dr. Gupta is also interested in nanotechnology
and is a member of nanoSIG. He graduated from the University
of California, Santa Barbara with a Ph.D. in engineering and
worked on projects for ONR (Office of Naval Research) and
DOE (Department of Energy).
